Letter to CMS from 55 Health Care and Stakeholder Organizations Regarding the Amendment to Georgia’s 1115 Waiver

May 16, 2025

Georgia is seeking an extension to its “Georgia Pathways to Coverage” Section 1115 waiver demonstration for five years. If approved, the demonstration will allow the state to continue to deny the non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) benefits for the Medicaid patients made eligible by the Affordable Care Act.

Simon&Co. facilitated The Coalition for NEMT Access’ submission of the attached comments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), urging they reject the state’s waiver request.
