Nearly 60 Medicaid Advocates Urge White House and Congressional Leadership to Retain NEMT Benefit in “Gap” Health Insurance, Benefit Included in House BBB Package

On October 26, Simon&Co. coordinated a message from nearly 60 Medicaid advocacy organizations urging the White House and congressional majority leadership to retain non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) as a requirement in the gap health care coverage provision of the final Build, Back, Better (BBB) budget reconciliation package. Yesterday, the leadership released its BBB proposal including NEMT, making it the first additional benefit required on top of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) essential health benefits.
