House Passes Heroes Act–Includes NEMT provision

May 15, 2020

For the first time since 2009, the House has passed legislation to permanently codify the Medicaid non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) benefit. The language included in the HEROES Act would add NEMT to the list of mandatory benefits without compromising existing Section 1115 waivers that eliminate the benefits.
