FY 21 House LHHS Appropriations Bill Includes Bill and Report Language Protecting NEMT

July 15, 2020

The House FY21 Appropriations Bill, introduced July 15, includes a limitation that would prevent CMS from issuing a planned rule to limit Medicaid non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). The accompanying Committee Report also contains language reiterating a section included in the enacted FY20 LHHS bill that directed CMS to delay any rule making on NEMT pending the completion of a MACPAC study of the benefit.
